Strange urls in stats

Postby Kooiii » Mon Mar 08, 2010 2:59 pm

Hi we have been noticing some strange URL behavior on the statistics pages when we add a website as http://www.domainname.com clicking on a visited page link on the stats pages returns a url http://www.http://www.domainname.com, placing just the domain nameworks ok but if the visited page is in a folder ie http://www.domainname.com/info/ the returned url is http://www.domainname.com/info/info/ for the first visit and http://www.domainname.com/info/info/info/ for the second.

any idea what is happening here ???

You should only use "domainname.com", "www.domainname.com", etc... in the domains list of a website (the topmost will be used to make the links).

the strange urls http://domainname.com/info/info/info/ are the result of just placing the domainname.com in where the problem lies is in the repetition of the folder name ie /info/info/info/ this causes the requested page to be not found

Maybe you actually have such links as http://domainname.com/info/info/info/ on your website. generated by incorrect relative path, like having a "info/" link on http://domainname.com/info/ itself. I can't think of any other reason right now.

No the folders only have page data in them and the folder name is not duplicated within
